黑料正能量

Sept. 23, 2024 - 黑料正能量 will co-host the 7th annual Learning Stories Conference on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on campus. This year, the conference focus will be the power of narratives, with a theme of "Learning Stories without Borders: Bridging Teaching Communities and Cultures through Narrative Inquiry."

This unique event brings together educators, researchers, and storytellers from across the globe to explore the enriching power of narratives which can transcend cultural boundaries.

This year's theme, which focuses on bridging communities, promises to spark insightful discussions, foster meaningful connections, and provide a powerful platform for sharing diverse perspectives through Learning Stories. We look forward to coming together to recognize the magnitude that a Learning Story extends beyond traditional assessments.

This year, we are fortunate to welcome Brenda Soutar ,a New Zealand (NZ) M膩ori educator, as the opening keynote speaker. Soutar is a prominent M膩ori leader from the North Island of New Zealand (Ng膩ti Porou and Ng膩ti Awa) and an administrator at the renowned Mana Tamariki M膩ori school located in Palmerston North, New Zealand. She is a former Kaitiaki (Tumuaki/Senior Teacher) at Te K艒hanga Reo o Mana Tamariki and former Tumuaki R墨whi (Principal) at Te Kura Kaupapa M膩ori o Mana Tamariki, which serves children from one year through high school. Brenda is a powerful advocate for the restoration of the te reo M膩ori (M膩ori language). In addition, the Mana Tamariki high school students will be providing a cultural performance in their indigenous language and in full regalia at the conference. International renowned NZ educator and speaker, Wendy Lee. will be providing closing remarks.
